A House of Design · Headquartered in Singapore · Regional Studio Dubai
We design experiences for the people who live them.
SATU is a multinational design house. From Singapore — our home — and Dubai — our regional studio for the Gulf, Europe and Africa — we shape private residences, hotels, offices, retail flagships and cultural spaces around the people who use them.
01 — The House
One house, many cities.
SATU was founded in Singapore and has grown into a multinational design house with more than ten offices across the Asia-Pacific. In Dubai, our regional studio serves the Gulf, Europe and Africa — the bridge between two design cultures.
We are guided by a single-firm philosophy. Whether the brief is a private residence in Riyadh, a hotel in Marrakech, a workplace in Singapore or a flagship in London, the same standard, the same taste and the same signature carry through.
We design for people. Spaces are conceived around how they will be lived in, worked in, gathered in — long before they are styled. That, we believe, is how a space becomes a place worth returning to.

— Philosophy
We begin in stillness — listening for the life a place is meant to hold.
We draw in light, in shadow, in material that remembers.
And we leave only what the people who live there will call home.

02 — The Practice
Six steps. One signature.
Our practice is end-to-end. The team that listens to the brief is the team that stands beside the principal on handover day — wherever in the world that may be.
- STEP 01— —
Listen
Every commission begins with the principal and the people who will use the space. We learn how a place must feel before we draw a single line.
- STEP 02— —
Frame
A design thesis — narrative, plan, palette, journey. The architecture of an experience, set before the architecture of a wall.
- STEP 03— —
Source
We walk our regional networks for material, light and craft. The palette is chosen from places and people, not catalogues.
- STEP 04— —
Design
Concept, schematic, detail. Our APAC and Dubai studios work as one room — across time zones, across continents — under one design lead.
- STEP 05— —
Deliver
On-site direction by a senior team from the nearest studio. Nothing is left to a contractor's interpretation.
- STEP 06— —
Hand Over
We close the project in person, alongside the people who will live and work in it. A handover, not a checklist.
03 — Sectors
Six sectors. One standard.
We work across private and commercial commissions — the same studio leads, the same regional reach, the same standard of finish.

A note from the house
"We don't design rooms. We design the experiences that happen inside them — and the people who will live, work and gather there are the brief."
— From the SATU Studio Notes
05 — The Atelier
A network of makers. One material at a time.
Every surface in a SATU project is traced to the hands that made it. We keep long relationships with ateliers across three continents, so the palette is chosen from places and people — not catalogues.
